Outstanding Alumni Awards

 
SRM University, as part of Silver jubilee Celebrations has decided to present 25 outstanding alumni awards to the alumni who have made a mark in their chosen career. This award is given in recognition of the contribution that SRM alumni have made and is also intended to encourage the other alumni to excel in life. It is also hoped that the awardees will serve as ambassadors for the University and as role models for the current students.
 
 

The awards will be given in six categories as follows

B  Excellence in Entrepreneurship
C  Achievements in Technology and innovation
D  Excellence in Managerial Leadership
E  Achievements in Sports
F  Achievements in other Walks of Life
 
 

  

 

The important dates are

 

1. Availability of nomination form in the website www.srmalumni.com from 1st January 2010

 

2. Last date for accepting nominations is extended to 31st March 2010

 

  

 

Eligibility

 

1. The nominee should have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program in SRM Engineering College or SRM University.

 

2. The nominee should not have received the award earlier.

 

  

 

Nomination / Selection procedure

 

1. The Selection Committee shall send out invitations for nomination. Faculty members, administrators or alumni of SRM are eligible to nominate SRM alumni for the award.

 

2. Nominations shall be solicited through advertisements in the University website, University newsletter, alumni mailing lists or any other forum deemed appropriate by the Selection Committee.

 

3. All nominations shall filled in by the nominator. The nomination form sent out by the Selection Committee must only be used to file nominations.

 

4. Nomination must be submitted through the link provided at the SRM alumni website only.

 

5. Previous nominees who did not receive the award may be re nominated with additional information in the subsequent year.

 

6. If the Selection Committee is not able to find a suitable candidate nominated for the award in any year, the Committee may take up appropriate measures to come up with a suitable decision.

 

7. The decision of the Selection Committee is final and binding.

 

  

 

Award

 

1. The award shall consist of a certificate, a citation and a memento.

 

2. The award should be received in person.

 

3. The award winner will be encouraged to make a presentation in their field of work or on a topic of their choice to the current students of the University.
